5 WAYS TO HAVE A BETTER MORNING!

Hello!

Monday Mornings... I don't know about you, but I can barely talk to someone without having my cup of coffee, let alone make myself be happy and positive on one of these mornings. The reality is that the morning will set up your entire day, and a Monday sets off your entire week, so in the words of Legally Blonde (the musical), "Keep It Positive!"



1. BYE BYE TECHNOLOGY

Although a lot of the Bosses suggest the contrary- I would say DO NOT check your phone until you are wide awake. Sometimes, social media can be comfortable and positive, but other times... not so much, so please don't use your mornings to figure it out. This time is for YOU, so listen to your favorite music, podcast or devotional. That being said, unless you are checking your e-mails to see if you got a job or something VERY important, I think it can wait until later. TIP: leave your phone on airplane mode until you are ready to (really) start your day! 

2. I AM THANKFUL FOR...

This is a morning MUST for me, I have to thinks/say every little thing that I am thankful for! Things like, "I am thankful for waking up, the sun, riding a bike, having a blog express myself..." Trust me, you will feel so happy and relaxed!

3. HAVE A MORNING BUDDY

My morning buddy is my COFFEE, if you follow me on Twitter you would know that half of my tweets are coffee related! It's so nice to wake up looking forward to that DELICIOUS cup of coffee, or comforting tea or maybe even some water (DEF. some water, keep hydrated during these hot Summer days). 

4. THE MUST DOS

This is the time where you do your to do list. Write down the things that you HAVE to get done that day. Example, Write blog post to upload tomorrow, make Facebook posting schedule, etc. I also like to add at the end of every to do list an inspirational quote and three words that I would like to describe my day as in order to keep them in mind when making decisions. Example: productivity, relaxation, creativity, inspiration, etc.

5. HAVE YOUR ROUTINE DOWN

Develop a routine and stick to it! My routine consists of: waking up, going to the bathroom, washing my face, brushing my teeth and heading to the kitchen! It takes thirty days for a "routine" to become a habit and I think it;s a great way to keep your morning relaxed and stressed free.

My most important tip for you is.... TREAT YO SELF in the mornings because they will set off your entire day into motion! Let me know in the comments, what is your favorite thing to do in the mornings?
